Personal data protection in healthcare with the requirements of GDPR and Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data

The course is intended for representatives of administrators and processors of personal data and for all employees who come into contact with personal data of patients and their relatives or need to deepen their knowledge in the field of protection and processing of personal data in the healthcare sector.

It is based on the interpretation of the requirements of REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), hereinafter referred to as "GDPR", and the Adaptation Act No. 110/2019 Coll. In addition, participants will learn about the opinions of the Data Protection Authority, practical experience and the minimum requirements for demonstrating compliance with the GDPR.

The aim is to understand the process of securing personal data, focusing on important areas in the context of healthcare, and to learn how to work with personal data.

Training programme:

• GDPR and Act No. 110/2019 Coll. - introduction, basic concepts
• Legality of personal data processing in healthcare
• Position of the controller and processor in the healthcare sector
• Obligations of the controller and processor in the context of processing personal data in the healthcare sector
• Strengthening the rights of patients and their relatives
• Demonstrating compliance with the GDPR and Act 110/2019 - minimum requirements in the healthcare sector
• Practical experience and opinions of the Office for the Protection of Personal Data in Healthcare

Upon completion of the course, the participant will receive a Certificate of Completion.
